Perpetual Giving Opportunity

At Hooves and Paws Rescue we know how much you love to help the animals. What if there was a way to give more without costing you more every month? How would you like to the opportunity to continually support your favorite charity without having to constantly budget for your monthly donation?  Would you like your money to grow, donate money to a charitable cause and retain your original principal amount?

We all know how much you love to help support the rescue, and we know how expensive it can be feeding, treating, and caring for a large number of animals in need. Hooves and Paws Rescue has discovered a program that is created to allow charity minded people like you the ability to invest in a program that will allow you to: retain your principal investment amount, grow the money, the ability to share the growth with Hooves and Paws Rescue, receive tax deduction benefits, simultaneously increase the capital amount, and provide an opportunity for consistent growth. You can use to the earned interest to support your favorite causes and charities.

The program allows you to invest a set dollar amount and then give a portion of the monthly-earned interest, or all of the monthly-earned interest to your charity of choice, Hooves and Paws Rescue.  Interest that is reinvested allows the amount on deposit to grow for other causes, personal needs, or increased monthly giving to Hooves and Paws Rescue.  This is all done passively, which means you don’t have to manage your monthly donation dollars or worry about having to cut back during these uncertain economic times. The investment will grow and allow you to give more and do more without directly affecting your pocketbook. This program allows you to support Hooves and Paws Rescue into perpetuity, and gives you the ability to increase your donations passively without changing your monthly spending budget. If you are interested in learning more about this program, please contact Genea Stoops or Susan Vieregger to set up a meeting to discuss the details of this NEW and VERY EXCITING program! Genea can be reached at email address: Legs1212@aol.com or info@hoovespaws.org, . Susan can be reached at susan@pbydllc.com or susiew_19@yahoo.com.

puppiesWe Believe In Miracles

We are very excited to share with everyone that Pilots-N-Paws will be doing an air transport for Hooves & Paws Rescue Friday February 26, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. They will be taking our (10) one week old puppies and their Mommy to a foster home in WI. We want to thank not only Pilots-N-Paws but also Chances Animal Rescue in WI for helping us put this transport together. The foster home was found for us by Chances Animal Rescue. They have a foster home waiting that takes puppies. And in our case since the puppies are just a little over one week old now they will be taking Mommy also.

As many of you know these puppies and Mommy dog were surrendered to Hooves & Paws Rescue due to a young mother and her three children losing their home. Sadly this is not unusual due to the economy and the number of people losing their jobs. But this was a large amount of puppies along with Mommy to find a safe place for. But we do our best for every dog and horse that we Rescue. Sometimes we can't place them with us due to space but we never say no, we always do our best to help in someway when calls come in for help.

We are accepting donations to help with the cost of the Vet exam and shots we will be giving Mommy before she leaves. She will be seeing the Vet tomorrow for a wellness check that is required & she must have a Health Certification to travel across state lines. We will also be getting a wellness check on the puppies and they will be wormed.

Donations can be sent for Mommy & (10) puppies through our website using Pay Pal or mailed to our Rescue address. Any amount that we receive over and above our Vet bill to cover puppies & Mommy will be shared with Pilots-N-Paws and also the foster home that will be caring for the (10) puppies and Mommy. All donations will be tax deductible through Hooves & Paws Rescue, Inc.

Urgent - Pony Missing
Notice her markings on her face
This is a picture of Little Red. She is a shy little shetland pony mare. She was rescued from neglect with another horse in the Glenwood, IA area. Little Red was in a foster home in Glenwood, IA and sadly her foster family gave her away without our knowledge September 11, 2009. On September 12, 2009 she was then given away once again to a lady named Christina or Christine that was at the Red Oak, Iowa Auction who had a (2) year old child with her. If you have seen Little Red or have any information regarding where she could possibly be please contact our rescue.  We have had some leads and we believe she is in the Glenwood, IA area or the Red Oak, Iowa area.  Please help us find Little Red.  She had had a rough start in life and our only concern at this time is to find her & bring her back to a safe environment.  We can be reached at 712-527-3721 (Rescue/Shelter) or 712-355-3721 (Genea's Cell)

Max has been Adopted
Max was found as a stray in the Malvern, IA area.  He is very thin and is in need of Vet care.  Hooves & Paws Rescue has arranged for him to get the Vet care he needs and some nice people are fostering him & feeding him lots of good food and giving him all the love possible.

Max has been adopted.  He is one of the many dogs that Hooves & Paws Rescue has been able to place while being fostered. Foster Homes are so important!  They allow us to take even more large breed dogs and horses that need a place to call home.  We want to thank all of our foster homes for the great work they do to help our rescue and the animals.

(9) Dogs Rescued From MO Back Yard Breeder

We received an e-mail about several dogs in trouble in MO.  The family that had these dogs were small time (backyard) breeders (Not Good!).  The dogs were not being fed on a regular basis is what we were told because the people simply could not afford to feed themselves and their dogs.  We are hearing this more & more each day.

We sent out a plea for help for these dogs to many of you.  Although we are totally out of room at our rescue we could not let these dogs starve to death and suffer any longer. A wonderful lady who is involved with Wheaton rescue  stepped up to the plate and has done an incredible job by helping us & contacting other rescues to help get these dogs to safe places to heal. We are very happy to report that (4) Mastiffs, (2) Shelties, (2) JRT & (1) Lab were transported and saved Saturday May 23, 2009.

We want to send a huge thank you to the following individuals & rescues. Alma & Kent from Omaha - They did the transport of all these dogs from MO.  Truly incredible!
Winding River Boarding in KC, MO - They housed some of the dogs until they were picked up by rescues.
Mastiff Hope Rescue
Linda with CARE
Colorado Sheltie Rescue
Halfway Home Shelter

I am so proud of all of these individuals for all of their hard work and dedication to save these dogs from an unknown fate.  We could not have made this happen without everyone's help.  This was a group effort and many people, rescues and boarding facilities deserve a huge thank you for their efforts.

Some of the faces of this rescue.  These are the pictures of just some of the dog's on the Owner's property. These dogs were living in a very poor environment and they were starving and had no Vet care. But now they are safe!  Thank You To All Involved!
