Hooves & Paws is Expanding August 21, 2011 Dear Family & Friends, We are very excited to announce that Hooves & Paws is expanding to be able to help even more horses and all size dogs and cats! We continue to get calls from all over the U.S. asking for help with placement of horses, dogs and cats. We have a large network of Rescues & Shelters we work with all over the U.S. and we have a very good working relationship with Law Enforcement & Animal Control Agencies. We have grown to the point that we must expand and we need your help. We welcome you to join us to help us make this expansion happen. Our hope is to start Phase 1 of our expansion ASAP. Phase 1 of our expansion will include a metal building with inside dog kennels, outside runs and also a smaller kennel area for cats. Phase 1 will be on our current property in Glenwood, IA. We will continue Rescue work all areas of Iowa, Nebraska and beyond as needed. We have brought animals into our facility from as far away as Florida. So the need is great and we must expand to be able to help even more animals who need a place to call home until adoption is possible. How You Can Help And Get Involved We will be interviewing and taking applications for two additional Board of Directors and one or more Grant Writers. To be on our Board of Directors we ask that you have a love and understanding for animals large and small, understand and promote our Mission Statement, become involved in every aspect of our operation and that you are a team player. To be a Grant Writer we ask that you have knowledge of Grant Writing, are dedicated to our cause and are willing to research all Grant opportunities that will help us with not only our expansion but our future growth. Adult Volunteers are needed on Sundays to help us at our Rescue/Shelter. We are always busy here. Sunday's we allow Volunteers to come in and help with various chores that need to be done. So, if you have an hour or two please contact us and let us know if you can lend us a hand on a Sunday. We ask that you always call in advance before stopping out so that we can plan ahead. Fundraising ideas are always needed. If you are a great fundraiser and can help us organize an event please contact us and share your ideas with us. We are always open to suggestions. Foster Homes & Safe Houses - We are always in need of great foster homes and safe houses for animals. We ask that if would like to become a foster home or a safe house that you fill out a foster form agreement and mail it to us. These forms can be found on our website under forms. Once we receive your agreement we will contact you and explain more in detail what our fosters and safe houses do for us at Hooves & Paws Rescue, Inc. We are accepting donations for Phase 1 of our expansion if you would like to help in that way. Donations can be mailed to our facility at 27821 US Hwy 34 in Glenwood, IA 51534 or made directly through our website using Pay Pal. Please mark your donations, Hooves & Paws Rescue Expansion. All donations large and small are needed and greatly appreciated. We would like to break ground ASAP and you can help us do that through your donations. Many animals have found their way to our No-Kill facility and have been adopted to forever loving homes. Many others are forever residents with us at our facility and will remain with us for the rest of their life due to health and/or behavior issues. Your donations have allowed us to keep these animals safe and we have been able to give them a place to call home when no one else could or would. We believe all animals deserve a safe and secure place to call home regardless of their past. We hope to hear from as many people as possible as this is a very exciting time for us at Hooves & Paws Rescue, Inc. By getting involved you can help us save those who have no voice of their own. We are their voice! Yours truly, Bill & Genea Stoops Owners Hooves & Paws Rescue, Inc. A Place To Heal In Glenwood, IA Saving Animals Across The U.S |
